These creative writing prompts ask the students to look at each picture and use their 5 senses to describe the image. What can they see, touch, smell, taste, hear and feel in each picture? They then use these notes to write a fuller, more detailed description of the picture. This is a great way to prepare for the KS1 SATs tests and the KS2 SATs tests while still having a lot of fun! Making multiplication times tables fun. These timetables books are both fun to make and fun to use. They are a great way of helping students to learn their multiplication tables. I was trying to think of different ways of making practicing time tables more fun. This is a fun activity. I wanted it to be tricky enough that there was more than one set of different timestables to use. I decided that 4 different varients meant no child could simply learn the numbers off by heart - by time they have completed all 4 books for each multiplication timetable, they will be proficient in that book. You can start off with the easier multiplication tables such as the x2, x5 and x10 for the beginners, before moving onto the middle range books such as x3, x4, x6 and x8. Finally rounding off with the most challenging books. Perfect for Homeworks etc. I have now made it into an easy print books to make your life easier. Child make mini origami books, each with the times table in them and then the answers at the end, so they can be used for self checking. If you prefer no answers, it is a matter of moments to edit out the answers using a paint program. They can be used for testing or simple revision. Getting ready for the summer Phonics test? Here are two Phonics revision tests from previous years. I have converted 4 documents into a simple to use PowerPoint. It starts off with practice words. These include both real and made up words. These help students to revise how to say the words and to prepare them for the test. This is followed by the practice test. There are 2 levels, a simple level and a trickier level, In each case there are real and made-up words. This is followed by recommendations on how to say each word. This is followed by the marking sheet. These PowerPoints are fun, colourful and an easy way to practice the words either with a whole class or one by one with the students. It is also an excellent way for parents to practice with their children at home. Make phonics testing fun... try this set of PowerPoints today!

I have found a way of making Maths revision a lot more fun. I have combined the official question papers and the official marking schemes into a single document. This means you can ask a question, the students show their answers on mini whiteboards and then as a class, you look at the official answers and look at what the students would have scored. As this is a whole class teaching activity, students can work in pairs or small teams and discuss their ideas and strategies together. This really reduces the level of stress as children are able to build on each others skills. This teaching resource could be used in the classroom or at home. Teachers need some fun to. This is my adult colouring book for teachers. You could print it out for your class to quietly colour during tests (when they have completed them to calm and relax them), or during long staff meetings - nothing is more relaxing and constructive than a little light colouring. This is to encourage staff to have a little time every day to think and reflect and not work. This is my attempt at improving the good life balance of staff. All these images were in the public domain. In the majority of the cases however, it took both a long time to find, then even longer to use editing software to sharpen and improve the images. I would love to know what people think of them.

Room on a broom is one of the best selling children's books on Amazon and yet it has hardly any resources listed on the TES. As obviously lots of teachers and students love this book, I thought I would make it into a series of worksheets. I would love some feedback about what you think about this set of worksheets.

It shows how you can use simple household items such as some balloons to scare away sharks and fix a boat with chewing gum. The children will love to find the advantages and clever ideas in this set of worksheets. I would love some comments from people who have tried this in their classroom.
